Join your fellow Villagers as you tour the house of America‘s only Nobel Prize winning playwright, Eugene O‘Neill. At the height of his writing career, isolated from the world and within the walls of his home, O‘Neill wrote his final and most memorable plays; The Iceman Cometh, Long Day‘s Journey Into Night, and A Moon for the Misbegotten.  The Tao House and surrounding setting were established as the Eugene O‘Neill National Historic Site, operated by the U.S. Department of the
Interior, National Park Service.
After the tour, we will have a no host lunch at The Growler located in downtown Danville. You will have your choice of a delicious mix of traditional house-made pub fare and healthier options. Part of the tour will be held on the second floor which is only accessible via stairs.  An upstairs video tour of Tao House will be available in the downstairs dining room for those unable to climb stairs.
