Ride on the Niles Canyon Steam Engine train through the scenic Niles Canyon. Then have the opportunity to wander through the town of Niles, whose streets are lined with many antique stores. Enjoy a private tour of the Essanay Silent Film Museum, where we will learn about the history of the silent film industry that took place in Niles from 1912-1916. Afterwards we will view two silent films: one starring Bronco Billy (a favorite Cowboy star of the time) and Charlie Chaplin’s “The Little Tramp.”

Our next drumming session will be on Wednesday, Oct 19 at 1:30 at Claire‘s home. Bring a song title for ALEXA, a jacket in case we meet outside, a mask, a drumming object, and your enthusiasm. We will be outside, weather permitting but please bring a mask in the event that we have to be indoors. All participants will be required to be masked if indoors See you then.

Join members on a walk through the trails of Quarry Park. Trails meander through meadows, forests and the quarry floor, and lead to destinations like a cool, algae-covered lake and a raised boardwalk at the harbor view vista point. The Wicklow property (as well as the grassy fields adjacent to the playground at Quarry Park) is dog-friendly and even includes a dog station in the parking lot.
