Mon Feb 12 Village Coastside Conversations 1 - 2:30 PM - Medical Marijuana at Lesley Gardens
This month's Conversation presents Joseph Kerr, former CEO of Emerald Phog, a cannabis collective of 4500 member, and current CEO of The Phog Foundation a cannabis education 501c3 non profit in Pacifica. He will share his knowledge and experience of working with thousands of older adults and do his best to answer your questions about the possible uses and benefits of medical marijuana, explain the various topicals, edibles, concerns about interactions, avoiding hallucinogens, pesticides, legalities, RX, etc.
The San Francisco Chronicle recently published “The Seniors’ Guide to Cannabis” and reported that 21 years after Californians legalized medical marijuana for the seriously ill, those patients still have some of the worst access to the drug.
Surveys show just 2 percent of seniors have used medical pot, compared with 8 percent of 18- to 24-year-olds. A recent article in the Scientific American features the headline “Marijuana May Boost, Rather Than Dull, the Elderly Brain”.
So what is it? Can it help me?
